La Storta to Rome
Today we walked in Rome at 11:32, with a sense of pride, excitement and relief!
To complete any pilgrimage is to embark on a journey that transcends mere walking. It’s a profound experience that challenges you physically, and mentally. Each day is a rhythm of rising early, putting one foot in front of the other, and surrendering to the path ahead. The initial days can be tough, filled with thoughts of “What have I gotten myself into?” as your body adjusts to the strain. Yet, with every step, you discover a resilience you never knew you possessed.
The journey is about disconnecting from the noise of daily life and connecting with yourself, with nature, and with a history that stretches back for centuries. The feeling of accomplishment upon completion is both exhilarating and exhausting, leaving you with a sense of peace and a collection of memories that will last a lifetime.
The Via Francigena will live with me and those of you who followed along with my challenges and victories forever! I could not of done this without all of you! Until the next escapade…

Note, I will post more pics of Rome after a day or so!
