Back in the UK: An Unexpected Detour
I wanted to share a quick update on what’s been going on lately—especially for those who’ve noticed I’ve unexpectedly returned to the UK. Sadly, the reason for this change of plans isn’t ideal: a few days ago, some of my belongings were stolen while I was away from my lodgings.
It happened one evening after I went out for dinner. I was gone for about an hour, and when I got back, I immediately noticed something was off—my watch was missing from the charging port. A quick scan around the room confirmed that other items were also gone. Then I found the real cause for concern: the rear window of the house had been forcibly opened.
Needless to say, it was an unsettling experience. The part that sticks with me the most is the feeling that someone may have been watching and knew when I’d be away. It’s a chilling thought—but on reflection, I realize how much worse things could have been, and for that I’m grateful.
After some late-night conversations with family and friends, I made the decision to return to the UK. Trying to carry on without essential equipment just didn’t make sense, especially under those circumstances.
The silver lining? Being back means I get the chance to attend the final Manchester UnitedLeague game at Old Trafford today —a welcome bit of joy after a challenging few days.
Life doesn’t always follow the plan, but I’m taking this detour in stride and focusing on moving forward. Thanks for all the support—more updates soon.
