This year’s escapade is an international trip providing physical challenges along with the opportunity to see some of the most historic sites and settlements. This year’s escapade is the Via Francigena!
Via Francigena Overview :
The Via Francigena is an ancient pilgrimage route stretching approximately 2,000 kilometers (1,200 miles) from Canterbury, England, to Rome, Italy, passing through France, Switzerland, and Italy. Traditionally, people walk the route in stages, over a few years. I plan to complete the route in a single adventure!
My reason for selecting this adventure is the challenge of long-distance trekking, the joy of meeting fellow travelers, and the chance to experience local traditions and regional cuisines. The journey will also provide a break from modern routines, fostering mindfulness and a sense of accomplishment. I believe the Via Francigena offers the chance of an unforgettable and enriching experience, in alignment in the tradition of Lord Colliers travels!
